DelvTech senior management and Board members have a proven track record in developing and commercialising a range of healthcare products globally. The mix of skills and experience includes alliances, equity transactions, licensing, public offerings, quality management, and regulatory and extensive international business experience.

Director

Mel Bridges has over 30 years of international business experience in the healthcare industry and holds a degree in Science. Mel’s experience includes CEO and co-founder of PANBIO (including Dr David Wyatt and Jim Kalokerinos) (publicly listed company on the ASX - PBO), and founder and Managing Director of Pacific Diagnostics (sold to US fortune 100 company Baxter Corp). He is the founder and major investor & shareholder in medical device manufacturer, Impedimed. Mel holds a number of board positions with publicly listed firms on the ASX. Mel is also Chairman of the Board of ASX 200 listed Peptech Limited and Alchemia Limited. He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Director

James Kalokerinos, BSc, BEcon, FAICD, has thirty years experience in the biotech and healthcare industry both in Australia and in overseas markets. He has worked extensively in the management of sales, marketing, and distribution and in the commercialisation of diagnostic devices. Mr Kalokerinos is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, was a co-founder and Director of Panbio Ltd (publicly listed company on the ASX - PBO), and of Pacific Diagnostics (sold to U.S. fortune 100 company Baxter Corporation). Mr Kalokerinos is a past Executive Chairman of Panbio Ltd and is currently a non-executive Director of DelvTech International. He has worked internationally for more than twelve years and was the Market Director (Asia-Pacific) for rapid test diagnostics company Quidel Corporation and an International Director for Metra Biosystems.

Director

Dr Laurie Hammond is a founder and director of Timsco Pty Ltd, an early-stage venture capital investor in new technology-based enterprises. Timsco operates inQbator, an incubator of start-up companies in information and communications technology and bioinformatics, and manages a A$14 million fund. A new fund, iQ Fund 2, is presently being raised for early-stage and expansion investments in technology-based companies. Laurie has been involved in national innovation support programs as a member of the Commonwealth Government’s Industry Research & Development Board, Chairman of the R&D Tax Concession Committee, and a member of the Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Committee. He also is a member of Queensland’s Food, Fibre and Agribusiness Council and the Gold Coast’s Regional Economic Development Advisory Board.

Design and Engineering Manager

Ben Huber has worked in new product development for 7 years since qualifying as an Industrial Designer (BBE-ID GDID). Originally working for a leading design consultancy, as Product Development Manager, Ben has been responsible for the product design and development of a multitude of projects, from specialist markets to large production consumables. Ben was subcontracted by MediDive/DelvTech since late 2002 through his prior employer, so has an intimate knowledge of DelvTech’s projects and products.

Now solely employed by DelvTech, Ben is responsible for the design development and production management of DelvTech products. Utilising a broad knowledge of production and tooling processes combined with a passion for design, Ben has provided a vital link in the concept to reality phase.
